Yes, indeed.
As I say, I prefer to focus on real developments at the companies I invest in. BUT it is also my experience that tape painting is a contrary indicator. If a stock is being painted up, it is because someone is selling and wants to prop up the price as best as possible. If a stock is being painted down, it is because someone is trying to buy on the cheap.
Eventually, painting doesn't work.
