Good morning brodster.

I think a lot of opinions simply get lost in translation, as traders discuss stocks like TTCM.

When someone mentions a “bid-whacking” opportunity, it implies that they have shares to sell and will sell those shares on the bid and throttle down bid support, rather than putting them on the ask and waiting to sell them at the higher price.

At a glance, I am assuming that you mean that there is a “bid-sitting” opportunity to grab shares from weak/bored traders ahead of several potential positive FLEs

It implies that someone is going to throw out a low bid and wait to see if it gets filled.

The “short cover aspect” is a different topic.

I don’t believe for a single, solitary second that there are any significant retail short positions in TTCM or any other OTC stock.

Retail traders are prohibited from shorting OTC stocks on any real level.

I can say that in my experience shorting big boards, that when I “sell to open” stocks, I open that short position on the current ask PPS.

When I “buy to cover” I am also covering that short at ask.

I cant really set a “buy to cover” trade on a low bid that may not get filled.

So for me, stock lingo is confusing for many of us.

On a fresh up listed stock, with a product launch.... that Sounds like a great bid whacking party, cover day

This is why opinions get lost in stock lingo.

I don’t understand how “bid whacks” coincide with short covers.

It seems like a great topic to discuss though.

Appreciate your input and am flattered that you or anyone else cares what I may think.

GLTU, IMO and FWIW.
