From what I can recall, wasn’t candy, cigarettes and alcohol the three biggest consumed product during the Great Depression? I agree with your statement. When the masses experience an economic depression they like to consume things that give them instant gratification and relief by blocking out the worlds chaos. Not to mention people went to the movies as well. I think we’re right where we need to be. :)

Bruce Linton may have been pushed out from the cannabis firm he helped co-found, but that’s not stopping him from increasing his investment in Canopy Growth Corp.

Linton, who was unexpectedly ousted in July as Canopy’s co-chief executive officer and board chairman, told BNN Bloomberg he scooped up more shares in the Smiths Falls, Ont.-based firm after its stock slid Thursday morning.
