#167251 RE: fastlane #167242

first of all, the Vietnamese gov wants kblb to build a state of the art lab and they want that built first before anything else...they want in on the technology...not just trees and menial manual labor jobs...they not only want it first, they want it now...

secondly, its going to take a lot more time before kblb is making substantial money...as they plant those additional trees, they will need to speed up their production capabilities..

this is just warehouse no.1...there will be more..and the sooner, the better...and they will need to upgrade their water situation...it takes a lot of water to process cocoons...

everything they do from this point on should be first rate..there is a reason kim envisioned such a huge compound...any additional warehouses or buildings will be built new with an eye to smoothing out the production process...automating where possible..

as far as I can tell, the only thing that's going to limit our ability to make money is the lack of production capability...we should be able to sell whatever we can make...

slow and steady works up to a point...but when you reach a point where its time to get er done, you need to kick it into high gear...

"I don’t think we need any super expensive equipment."

sure we do..its not so much the cost of a piece of equipment, its the fact that we will need a lot of them..it will be cost effective to reel, spin and whatever else right there at the compound..that IS expensive equipment and you will need a lot of it...and they will need to pay people to operate them..

the unskilled labor in Vietnam may be cheap...but the cost of building things and buying equipment and utilizing skilled labor is not..

it will take a long time to get to one hundred tons a year..but we still have to prepare for more long before we get there...

I would like to see kblb fulfilling contracts with at least a thousand tons a year being produced before china gets online...because when they do, that juggernaut will be a force to be reckoned with...

I don't know if kblb will need $50 mil...but they will need a lot..because moving slow aint gonna cut it..

and I wouldn't count out the goo makers...they are going to gets their share..no matter what anyone thinks, they WILL get their share...and there are a number of them...

everyone thinks that if kblb gets bought out by Honeywell or someone, they will be able to grow exponentially...

imagine if Honeywell buys out bolt threads?...how many vats do you think they can build?...in like a week?...
