Fastlane, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, we don't know if we have an acceptable product. How does it perform when wet? How about when the humidity is high? If the answer is 'not so good,' then we don't even know this is an acceptable product.

There is good reason to suspect humidity is a problem. This is a known characteristic of spider silk.

I'm guessing there are lots of other applications of DS that will prove more successful.

Flexible is not necessarily a good thing when it comes to bullet protection. A material might be able to stop a bullet, but if it flexes 6", then it will still kill or maim the victim.
