Waiting at this point is a matter of when the Reverse Split is announced. Do you risk a scam CEO allowing it to run when the company is debt loaded and needs to dilute? All the restricted issued stock can be released with a simple request to the transfer agent. There is more preferred stock issued than there is common shares after the conversion.
