This is a clinical application they should explain better on their website. If the goal is improving brain cells recovery post-stroke it will be difficult to impossible to administer intravenously since the blood-brain barrier would make that prohibitively difficult. Direct injection would be a possibility but with obvious risks including infection. Also not sure there is much clinical evidence yet on efficacy. May be similar to the findings of stem cell therapy and cardiac tissue recovery following MI which has not lived up to the initial optimism. That said ED is the easier target since cell delivery is a lot easier.
