Great read. I've intuited much of it over the years, but the itemization is staggering.

This in particular explains why we wade though, are subjected to and are burdened with so many words salads of misinformation laden, ass-on-fire conspiracy theorizing posts on this board.

Which is to say, it’s the kind of thing that can only make sense to those lacking the most basic capacity for critical thought, and anything remotely resembling that which we might call, perspective.
