I think the move away is real, the wise business and not being motivated by politics not so much.
I do think the coal industry as a whole has done too little to innovate and find efficiencies and here we are. What this company is now attempting to offer should have been pursued a decade ago and by not doing so we have potentially lost a reasonable and cheap resource.
I think a political choice was made to fund wind farms and solar panels exclusively and now we are seeing the results of a lack of a diverse and economically liberal energy policy. Political choices made 10 years ago are coming home to roost in the form of bankrupt companies and unemployed miners.
