according to finra's rules, when you are shorting a stock under $5.00 a share, they require that you maintain $2.50 per share in your account as margin...

thus, when kblb was .07 per share, it would have required one to maintain $250,000 in margin requirements in order to short $7000 in kblb stock...

this is why I kept saying it was ridiculous to think that your average investor could and were shorting kblb...I said it would require too much money and would be ridiculous for an average investor to even contemplate..

even now, you would still be required to maintin that $250k in order to short $23k of kblb...

remember all those postings of so many millions of short sold shares occurring on a daily basis with kblb?...and i said that info was completely bogus?...lookup the real info on finra's site..
