Typically with big box locations (think albertsons, kroger, HEB, Meyer, walmart etc) it has to be in their catalog of products they can order from.

Example: A customer can want blueberry poptarts. If the blueberry poptarts are not in the companies catalog of products they inventory/sell, then you can't order it.

Products get into the catalog by either working with a local private distributor -- in Louisiana these are local products like farmed fresh seafood or cajun spices etc -- or all grocery stores at the corporate level have what are called category managers. Category managers are responsible for merchandising the store, making sure new items are always sourced and old items are dropped from the catalog. Category managers are also responsible for their shelf footage -- so lets say the cereal aisle is 60 feet long, they have to stock out with SKUs 60 feet of shelf space with items. Once they know the items then they create a plan-o-gram which is how the shelf is layed out. When you walk down an aisle all the products are not just randomly placed on a shelf -- there is a program that category manager use and it plans out the best use of space. So the reason why cheerios are on the middle shelf in your face is b/c the program decides based on inventory turns/sales what products need to go front and center middle shelf b/c they are popular. It also factors in the size of the boxes etc etc.

So long story short -- if you really want VRUS products in your stores then you need to get in touch of the frozen food category manager for your store. Typically your local grocery store won't know that b/c they operate at corporate then send in contracted people to set the shelves based on the plan-o-gram when new items come in. So, i'd call corporate and ask to speak to the category manager of the frozen food section or ice cream...just depends on whole broken down the frozen food section is. They may have a buyer/category manager for frozen pizza, ice cream, breakfast...or just a category manager for all of frozen food.

Did they say they could? I just want to see one pic of some in a freezer at something that’s clearly a store and not possibly staged.
