At least the theist is required to do good and not focus upon self. Guilt or the attack of conscious as you put it is what causes the theist to ask forgiveness for his actions. Repentance requires action. The atheist feels bad then seeks refuge within the house of justification and denial.
Specious my ass. I have yet to see the Atheist foundation for the sick and homeless. The atheist foundation for the cure of aids, the atheist foundation for the systematic slaughter of the 400,000 human beings in South Africa
I can site 100's of theist organizations.
I do see however many many Atheist foundations for the attack and removal of religion. You know a direct assault upon another’s FAITH, the core values and belief system that structures their very being. Relentless this assault, and not very congruent with “Do No Harm!”
