I speculate that Diwan believes he can squeeze millions of more dollars out of more suckers. If not through NNVC, then again by following the same playbook and starting over again once NNVC is gone. Therein lies the value of the IP.
Though the patents are now old enough, that they wouldn't still be alive by the time an imaginary drug would be approved for market. Not that retail investors in miracle cures care about such details.
