You may have been with US foods when Sysco tried to take over US Foods until the FTC stepped in to stop the deal. If the deal had been successful SYSCO would have had 75% of the food service marketplace. It is interesting to see that Sysco does not serve the countries where VRUS is present. Looks like Anshu has a corner on that market. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I like the way you think but US Foods does 24 billion a year in revenue and their current share price is only $35.21. Sysco has triple the number of employees of US Foods and their share price is currently at $70.00 and their annual revenues were 58 billion in 2018. With Verus at almost 3 million for Q2 I think it is going to be some time before they get close to those others numbers but I am hoping for the best. I just got in here about a month ago and my avg is .0285 so looking forward to the next year.
I also come from the Retail "specialty food store" side of the biz. I never used a Sysco or US Foods for a distributor because of low quality. We use smaller flexible companies like Versus International to buy higher quality products. Management knows there is a need for more competition in the food distribution service. There's plenty of money to be made. Let's watch it unfold over a year or two. JMO
