At the end of every quarter or year, the company is in possession of non-public information, by definition. They therefore limit public comments until the Q or the K is out. The rules are not hard and fast, but every company limits comments to some extent at that time. They may also be in a quiet period about the NASDAQ application and other deals they are working on that are not yet public.
