So, can we all agree on a timeline here?

Here's my understanding of the timeline indicated by the 10-Q. I MAY BE MISTAKEN, and if so, please help me understand my errors.

SOMETIME BEFORE 11/6: "Messrs. Wunderlich and Vazquez . . . impeded and interfered with the deliberations by the board of directors regarding executive officer succession planning"

11/6: Letter sent to LW and FV informing them of a BOD meeting the next day and of their termination with pay (ie leave the bldg)

11/7: BOD meeting to determine if gross misconduct was committed by LW and FV. LW and FV ask for their decision to be put on hold so they can work out a deal (No deal has been reached up to 11/20)

11/16: MS asks LW to sign the 10-Q (presumable off-premises) "which was substantially completed before November 6, 2006"

11/17: LW and FV hand in their letters of resignation

11/20: MS reveals all this to the world along with the 10-Q

am i missing something or am i right on?

i think what we need is more details of this BOD meeting (BEFORE 11/6 i presume) which LW and FV impeded. what was all THAT about?

lickin my chops to buy more of the price goes below 70!

marcus, All good and well what you say. I have just one question.

Can you explain to me why the inventory is approaching a half million dollars? Is this a build up for large shipments in Q4 or is this just inventory out of control.

I know it's just mechanics but with the little cash that CYGX has it is extremely important to use it very carefully.

TIA

Dear Braveheart: Way to go gladiator you sure are one smart stock broker or whatever it is you say you do. Let's look at your infinite wisdom:

"(that's right, this is not a guy who thinks it's all about him)"
Great. No CEO ever gets much of anywhere without this ability. It's just necessary in any good CEO. Even Ellison (Oracle) has some of it.

"worked on occasion without pay so that the company could survive"
...Happy days are here again (everybody sing)

"If expectations are not met at any given point in time, this does not imply bungling, mismanagement, impending bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, failure, conspiracy, gonorrhea or hemorrhoids."

No, just HERPES there dude. Think incurable nasty HERPES until the end of time.

"Cytogenix is not yet in the business of making widgits, but is, in fact, in a highly complex area with a fascinating technology."

Woa.. It's like AWESOME! It makes me want to just stare at it all day long! I can't believe how TOTALLY AMAZING it all looks!!

If you don't want people to know you're a total dope, try not to sound like one.

marcus: Are you, in reality, Malcolm himself? Or do you work at CYGX or are you related to someone who is, or a close friend of someone who is? I ask because I'd like to know the basis of your knowledge that Malcolm is "universally admired by CYGX employees". I've been critical of Malcolm and the slow pace of progress, but I can stand being corrected by one who is closer to the situation or who has personal knowledge of the "internals" at CYGX. Can you enlighten us further as to the events of the previous few weeks as they relate to the management shakeup, or are you under orders of secrecy?

marcusaurelius,Now you don't know Malcolm. Let me remind you of your words:Malcolm is one of the finest people I know,

Ladies and Gentlemen: I have read your postings with great interest for a number of months. Some postings seem to have the ring of truth; others are clearly complete fantasies. Further, some posters clearly have agendas, a few of which are quite malignant. For example, the invective sometimes hurled at Malcolm Skolnick is not only inappropriate, but it is incorrect and completely misguided. Malcolm is one of the finest people I know, and there is no one who guards the welfare of the company, its employees and its shareholders (that's right, this is not a guy who thinks it's all about him) more assiduously than he. This is a person who in former times worked on occasion without pay so that the company could survive, who is universally admired by the Cytogenix employees, who is intelligent and objective enough to recognize his own limitations, and who has devised a strategy to overcome them. It is far from clear that the same could be said of everyone who has ever worked for Cytogenix.
I certainly do understand that the desire of shareholders is to make money, and that some (though certainly not all) have been disappointed in the past. However, any attempt to rush the science (don't forget, it's the science that fundamentally drives the company)will more often then not lead to disaster in the clinic or marketplace---I've seen it many times, and frankly, it's only common sense that it would. The synDNA technology is still quite new, but, IMHO, to expect linear growth in revenues on a quarterly basis with a novel technology is optimistic at best, and not reflective of overall biotech industry patterns of revenue generation historically. If expectations are not met at any given point in time, this does not imply bungling, mismanagement, impending bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, failure, conspiracy, gonorrhea or hemorrhoids. Cytogenix is not yet in the business of making widgits, but is, in fact, in a highly complex area with a fascinating technology. And, if you can't stand the heat, etc., etc., etc. But if you can, hold on for the ride as I suspect it is going to be very, very interesting.
