Ladies and Gentlemen: I have read your postings with great interest for a number of months. Some postings seem to have the ring of truth; others are clearly complete fantasies. Further, some posters clearly have agendas, a few of which are quite malignant. For example, the invective sometimes hurled at Malcolm Skolnick is not only inappropriate, but it is incorrect and completely misguided. Malcolm is one of the finest people I know, and there is no one who guards the welfare of the company, its employees and its shareholders (that's right, this is not a guy who thinks it's all about him) more assiduously than he. This is a person who in former times worked on occasion without pay so that the company could survive, who is universally admired by the Cytogenix employees, who is intelligent and objective enough to recognize his own limitations, and who has devised a strategy to overcome them. It is far from clear that the same could be said of everyone who has ever worked for Cytogenix.
I certainly do understand that the desire of shareholders is to make money, and that some (though certainly not all) have been disappointed in the past. However, any attempt to rush the science (don't forget, it's the science that fundamentally drives the company)will more often then not lead to disaster in the clinic or marketplace---I've seen it many times, and frankly, it's only common sense that it would. The synDNA technology is still quite new, but, IMHO, to expect linear growth in revenues on a quarterly basis with a novel technology is optimistic at best, and not reflective of overall biotech industry patterns of revenue generation historically. If expectations are not met at any given point in time, this does not imply bungling, mismanagement, impending bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, failure, conspiracy, gonorrhea or hemorrhoids. Cytogenix is not yet in the business of making widgits, but is, in fact, in a highly complex area with a fascinating technology. And, if you can't stand the heat, etc., etc., etc. But if you can, hold on for the ride as I suspect it is going to be very, very interesting.
