It was stated byvaTTCM that they have "multiple revenue streams" and they will give more details later.

1 Release the app
2 Release news of the revenue stream
3 Fix the bugs
4 Let the hunt begin

So far they are keeping their schedules and promises. They tweeted today the paid off several debts, have money for advertising, and money for development.

I would ask where did they get the money to do those things?

In 2014 FB paid 19 BILLION. Thats right! Billion For Whats App. At the time Whats app was only generating 1.2 million dollars for a chat/video app. TTCM is much more than that.
