All I can say is its still being used for numerous researchers around the world. The National Cancer Institute owns it so obviously its well taken care of. Whether or not it ever "expires" or starts to lose potency at some point is above my pay grade but has never been a consideration that I know of.

As I understand, the original 18 grams was extracted from 13 tons of Bugula neritina years ago. Maybe 1996? I can't find an exact date.
