Have you ever operated a business...in another country...that is illegal in that country...without using a bank account...?
They are in the middle of closing a deal...could you give them a chance to get it completed. This is a lot more complex deal...than getting a baggie of weed from a local dealer.
Property titles changing hands...businesses changing hands...state, local and international regulators involved...attorneys...security clearances...cannabis licenses changing hands...etc....etc...etc.
In other words...a lot of i's to dot and a lot of t's to cross....for them. Also you've had plenty of time to be picking up shares....before the party.
