CCR5 blocking stops CCL5 chemokine binding preventing the migration of tumor cells. So definitely a positive for metastasis.

However CCR5 blocking also decreases the IL-1 cytokine responsible for tumor invasion and blood vessel growth in tumors. It also increases the IL-1Ra cytokine which suppresses tumor growth.

Given the ability to inhibit tumors themselves, leronlimab may have a role in even non-metastatic cancers.
