To me the patent is about the ink and printing. The QDs are just "along for the ride". Yes they are making QD color filters/film, but the only thing specified was that the QDs produce red and green wavelength light and it appears that they were just buying basic catalog listed QDs with specific wavelengths. See table at [00225].
In this case they bought Nanosys Gen 3 QDs.
Couldn't they have just selected "standard" QMC red and green QDs from QMC's nanoparticle catalog on the website? No working together, just order from the catalog.
