Why do you feel its not a good sign receiving an update? Don't get me wrong the situation is unfortunate but if anything they company is working out of it. Not the other way around
If they can provide an update to reassure all steps have been taken on the companys end that's all they can do and then wait as its just a matter of waiting for the process of re-instatement.
