Excellent story about JC Penney.

Farside - I had the priviledge of working for JC Penney Co. as a kid fom 1970 to 1972. I remember going into Manhattan to the corporate offices on 52nd st and Avenue of the Americas.

I have warm memerios of getting on the elevator and in would walk Mr.James Cash Penney in his 90s still a corporate icon.
He would greet everyone so warmly.

An image I will never forget. JC Penney died in 1972. I rememember they closed every store 1 day in honor of him.

And that post is probably what 90% of SLJB shareholders needed more than anything, only to have it deleted. SLJB has and will (before it's all over) destroy many families IMO. I saw the writing on the wall, as it turned into a craps table in Vegas.
