I've had a soft spot for HERB ever since I read this in one of their 10-K's (many years ago)

Our eight operating subsidiaries have over 250,000 acres of land

This company is HUGE. And the stock was going nowhere.

I think they did the right thing with the asset swap. Now they need to merge with Gansu Yasheng. If they succeed, they can turn a 2c stock into $15, overnight. It doesn't get any better in the stock market.

Let's not get into operations or quality of management because these guys are even worse than Solomon wanting to build restaurants. But I still have a soft spot for them because these guys may very well deliver. And they will do it without wasting words.
