All social sites were offering or not stopping 3rd party purchasing of fake names. The sellers would claim all names were legit. Of course that's not possible, so a ton of plastic celebrities and their 'influencer agents' took a hit of bad media.
Didn't hurt them a bit as they are all doing it again in other ways.
