Arachnodude noted "No matter how you look at it, it still ends up with Mr. Thompson being a Genius."

Thompson evidently is/was a member of the triple-9 society. The main qualification for membership is a measured IQ higher than 99.9% of Americans.

Currently America has a population of about 327 million. This means there are 327,000 Americans who have an IQ equal to or greater than Thompson's.

China, with a population of 1.38 billion, has 1,380,000 citizens who have an IQ equivalent to Thompson's.

Most studies have found that IQ correlates strongly with academic success, but only weakly with success measured in other terms (financial success, for example).

Thompson managed to give himself a controlling interest in the company during the first and only shareholders meeting, through the vehicle of 2 supervoting shares. A smart move that has insulated him from shareholders, for better or for worse. But simply because he has a high IQ, I don't think we can assume he is effective as the CEO of KBLB. It simply isn't strong evidence, one way or the other.
