as market and demand grows, exclusivity of product drops / profit margins shrink due to competition / sources for product expand. it is a race to the bottom as far as profit margins for growers, extractors, wholesalers and retailers. but it will eventually find its level in all areas as during that process, COGS should also come down. this is the same path for any new product.
