AGREE! It's utterly unacceptable for a CEO to be dribbling out info and assurances to individuals instead of everyone at the same time. The only reason for doing so is to NOT go officially on the record. Even if he doesn't want to pay for a PR he's still able to communicate for FREE on Facebook and Twitter.

No ethical CEO should ever rely on a non-management 3rd party to disseminate information to the public about the company he supposedly runs.

Absolutely! As I said before imagine if only way you can get any information from a public company is you have to call the CEO to get it. Laughable.

I check in from time to time and ask questions. You should too. Obviously the answers are NOT on the board. Haha this board feels like the show House Wives.
