I remember that comment, and I remember thinking that Nader might be making it sound like Gilead was not that interested but it could be Nader did not do a great job developing the relationship. It was also around the time Tony C went radio silent and he was the big ex-Gilead exec. It could be he was to deliver the relationship and realized his reputation was not as valuable as thought? We don't know what happened but nothing materialized for sure. It was also around the time the R/S got pulled - we never got a good answer for who and why that whole plan disappeared.


Either way, Gilead surely has an MA department whose full time job it is to know what is out there. They must be aware and watching at a minimum what is going on with Cytodyn.

I have repeated Saltz's analogy many times because it is true. He described this as the Voice TV show - once one judge jumps in, the others do because that judge did. Things can happen very quickly and the timelines that calculate when we get FDA approval for Mono or any other indication don't really matter. We will have a buyout or major partnership long before.
