Dollar General's home is right here. Cal Turner started it in the little village of Scottsville, which is 16 miles down the road. They just recently moved to a larger HQ building just across the TN line.

You would be surprised at how many well known businesses started right here in Bowling Green. The only Corvette plant in the world is here. My friend David Garvin started Camping World just down the road here from me. The International HQ for Fruit of the Loom is 2 miles from my house. Duncan Hines cake mixes (were indirectly) started here in Bowling Green by Duncan himself. And my fraternity brother and astronaut Terry Wilcutt is from here. I never dreamed that when we were drinking beer together at the frat house he would end up being an astronaut! And I reckon he never dreamed I would end up being so fat! :)
