I have a profit in all my 17 stocks, but I've held most of them many years. Some for 30 years.

I certainly wouldn't own an mREIT like CIM although it's one of the safer ones. mREITS tend to crash in tough times.

"T, F, or CIM" Just checked. Those three greatly lagged the S&P 500 over the past 5 years. Need income? Just sell off a few shares every once in awhile. That's Buffett's advice to his BRK shareholders.

Nothing wrong with holding some CIM in your account. The key is to not always be chasing yield.
I wouldn't want to hold F, even though it may be coming out of a funk right now.
