But insiders may have ulterior motives – For example, if the management is pleading for additional loans and making rosy projections for the future, a good way to build credibility is to commit some skin in the game – which often means the CEO and certain top executives will end up buying stock in the open market. Presumably, the rewards of getting additional funding far outweigh the cost of a few extra shares. Not to say they're trying to paint a rosy picture but $3.00 was presumably the low/or a good deal at the last fund Raise and we see what happened(stock went down and they had to amend to sell shares whenever they want). I would like to see a good 2Q before any more of my money is invested or at least some better reasoning for investment like a positive press release.
