Agree. The way I understand it is that whoever own those shares lose their investment (if any). They are erased like if they were never issued in the first place.
With that said I’m not sure what ends up happening to the market cap. Shouldn’t it remain the same but since the O/S is going to be smaller then pps should get adjusted to reflect new share structure?
