With regard to the Prof. Mitlin collaboration my guess (and it is a total guess but one based on the sudden stop of the constant PR'ing of the Professor Mitlin combined with nothing about this on Clarkson's nor Mitlin's website and the fact that Professor Mitlin already had a commercial partner for hemp energy storage) that after seeing ALYI as the number #1 thing that came up (and pages of it especially with Google news) when he googled himself, which everyone does, he and / or Clarkson put a cease and desist order on ALYI for making a minor consulting project sound like he was running a business for them or that they owned any of his related patents. Just a total guess based on the fact that ALYI RELENTLESSLY PR'd Professor Mitlin and then suddenly stopped mentioning him. Any person or institution with a reputation to protect would do this as a first step.

In a non-scam, a joint PR would have been released with the university (and non-disclosure would not have prevented a joint PR of something that was already being PR'd relentlessly by ALYI). A total guess and maybe we'll get more detail about Prof. Mitlin's latest and ongoing breakthroughs for ALYI. I would respect that - especially if it comes with a release or joint release from Clarkson or Prof. Mitlin himself (and if you go on their sites they issue plenty of PR's about commercial collaborations - just none ever about ALYI - and again, it's not due to non-disclosure concerns - that excuse makes no sense).

TOTALLY a guess but less of a stretch than thinking that Torno and Bollen have changed their ways, REALLY have a business this time despite having no funding (those elusive Europeans), no workers and nothing to bring to the table to the point that they have at least twice been late in issuing simple promised PRs, have ALWAYS been late in issuing financials and always disappoint in the details of the PRs.
