Back then erhc had about 750,000 shares outstanding. How did they hold on so long? They issued all the remaining authorized shares, taking the share count up to 3 billion. Then they did a 1:100 r/s with gave them a new start with only 30 million o/s. Unfortunately, because of their use of toxic debt and the Kenya well coming up dry, they have run the share count up to 3 billion again (the equivalent of 300 billion shares pre-reverse-split). They have also stopped filing 10-q's and 10-k's. That's how it's done, and their are still those arguing what a great company, what a great job management has done, what a great investment. Go figure.
