I'm especially curious about players who claim to profit from dividend capture. Have you noticed how they're always vague about how they do it?

That's because it's 50/50 at best! I can speak from experience However I am now having 70% plus positive results at Dividend capture. The first thing I did was to eliminate the high paying dividend stocks of 6% percent or higher!

The high flyers that pay out large dividends have a very large recovery period if at all! Making it impossible to come out on the plus side.

I now only trade dividend capture stocks that pay out 2-6 percent and have a history of recovery in 2-5 days and also paying an increased dividend history over the last 10 years.

They also must be tradable on the weekly options chain so I can write covered calls to increase my percentages of success and lower my cost average in case I get stuck.

I also use a nice dividend service so I can follow the daily X Date's and choice viable candidates.

I use 8 positions and rotate in and out. In the up coming month of June I have 18 dividends being payed to my account . companies like EXC IEP IBM CAT WYNN MIC F T RDS.A CVX WBA IP SO NS DCP NRZ EDF SUN These are the few I have captured the dividends in May and June.

I can actually give you trade detail and my results are a little over 25% ROC So I can verify it works but, It doesn't work on the high flyiers.

Some I am looking at right now are NKE JNJ HD MSFT It does and can work but you need a plan and rules for the trading blue print!
