I think it would keep the community faucet from being empty most of the time. Being able to tap a faucet for free Plus1 coins keeps people more interested in Plus1, than an almost always empty faucet. More interest in Plus1 might mean more people jumping on the Plus1 bandwagon.

I also didn't say it was "extremely important", just something that iHub should do.

I used to donate (a fraction of the free coins I got for the day 1-100 coins) regularly to the community faucet. Someone would come along and donate 0.00000001 coins multiple time wiping out the names of all the larger donors. No appreciation for the people donating to keep the faucet active.
