You are observing massive MM manipulation. They want to pull every trick in the book to confuse the confidence of all shareholders but especially longs. Their only hope of not losing their pants on this one is to free up and shake loose shares. If they need to make this stock look like it is a schizophrenic nightmare then thats what they will do.
If you were basing your decision to buy or sell shares of this stock solely on the activity and volume of this stock you would drop it like a hot potato. It doesn't make any good sense based on the activity and volume. BUT if you know the fundamentals of the company and if you know what is about to happen to the naked shorts you begin to understand that everything that is happening and that has happened since the cusip change has been, for the most part, orchestrated to scare away investors and to shake shares free.
