Dane, I can't deny your logic re some bad actors here. But the only group that can legally do naked shorting are those companies that provide MM services. I know, others can do naked shorting with various types of broker/seller collusion. But, even with the normally lame SEC and FDA policing, I find it hard to believe that an individual short or group of them would try consistent naked shorting. On the other had, legal shorting can be done illegally, i.e. in a group, but that would imply repetitive actions by some of the same individuals. Just not sure that brazen of a set of actions would happen. But something weird is happening, over and over again, and shorting, naked or not, seems to fit Occam's Razor. Best

Ya, it's either that, or the company is getting it's financing for June.

The most likely reason for that is they’ve naked shorted so many shares starting from about $4.50 they can’t allow the stock to move up without their being ruined.

Dane non-sense. If I shorted a stock at 4.50 I would have been long gone before it reached 20 cents.
There are other factors here that are manipulation the stock for profit. Namely the recent group that Leo cut deal with.

There was likely some fund raising into these two rallies as well. As that market cap rises into the $60-80M range, fund raising becomes considerably more palatable than it has been over the past six months. Even if it stifles a pre-deal rally or two, management has learned to raise money when it is available.

A little dilution only steals some of our frosting from the cake. It helps to ensure that the cake will be there in the end though.
