Yes you are in fact correct unless she steps foot in florida no one can touch her. This is not a criminal matter it is civil.

Its not disregard of the courts, its the process of law. It is also about jurisdiction. Some one can sue you in a foreign country and yet local, state or federal jurisdictions will not recognize it because the local laws and rules where not applied.

Its the same in State and District Court. Now if the Plaintiff was to obtain a judgement in Federal Court that would be different. However Federal Courts are usually reserved only for Government Business or Huge cases.

The proper Jurisdiction in this case is Nevada, but Nevada Corporate laws are such that the Plaintiff may never have won the case. There are many reasons that most businesses chose to be either Nevada Corps or Delaware corps.

Getting a judge to agree to default orders happens all the time, but many times these are over turned.
