Again, I think my point was missed.
The record date of any dividend like the one TTCM may offer, is usually on or shortly after the declaration of that divi.
People who don’t own shares, have little to no time to buy shares before the actual record date.
For those who are so desperate to obtain that dividend when/if it is executed, they would be well served to just buy ahead of the anticipated event, so they don’t have to chase the stock or miss out on it completely.
