NNVC has got issues,... but potential. Biggest issues have to deal with capitalization (as you noticed), and that Dr. Diwan appears to be extremely self-serving.

Especially Check out the complaints about Treracour (Diwan’s private company that holds the licensing rights to the tech) and his eventual share of profits.
