Good point. Because at some point, if the shares are clear to all to be underpriced, the company is actually somewhat negligent if they don't buy back. No?
Unfortunately SEC rules require the board approve this kind of decision and since it's material, to announce it publicly. Since we've seen no such announcement, let's not delude ourselves that it could be happening now. It isn't. I also don't expect it.
That said: I half suspect that since this is a pinkie and this is an IL based company, shenanigans happen... and someone with insights into things could be taking a large and inexpensive (relatively speaking) position these last couple weeks and near future. Under 5%, for sure... but a significant amount.
