First, this trial was conceived in 2014 and took 3.5 yrs and all the data has not even been released. The company had zero input into trial design or patient make up. If it took 3.5 years to get only 19 patients that failed to respond to any other treatment I would question the study itself.
If the company needs funds to pursue phase 3 of its other drug they can always partner with a big pharma. 30 mil is peanuts for a big pharma to run a phase 3 trial on a potential billion dollar a year drug. Vtgn would get less obviously, but it is always an option
