Not necessarily. If your stake in the company equity is diluted to a small fraction of what it was, then the “growth” is meaningless.
I watched a reverse merger into an OTC stock in which the retail common equity owners went from 100% “ownership” to 40% to 1% of the company and most didn’t even realize it. The new owner ended up with 99% of the equity.
As for “shareholder control”....do you think retail shareholders will get to vote on such a consequential acquisition or its terms?
No.
Outside of the OTC in the real world...it would be put to such a vote...but then there wouldn’t be such a massive conflict of interest to begin with.
