ROFL! There would be no analysts left if that were the case!
So when a stock is at or near a top and every analyst and his dog have a "strong buy" issued, and then it collapses and then they all pile on to downgrade it... their firms all lost money? On the contrary!
Firms sell into strength and buy on weakness!
Does anyone really still believe that analysts' firms are actually doing what they are recommending others do? They are stating what they WANT OTHERS TO DO!
