My guess is that it is mission creep. In one video he said they were going for CE without alarms. But later they said alarms are included so I imagine that adds to delay. It's much better to have alarms to begin with but the delay is bad because Libre 2 will soon be out and Dexcom + Verity are nearer to their cheaper version for Type 2's.
