He was a great General...History proves it

Except the rally was never really about Lee and Lee himself never wanted any statues built after the war. He wanted the country to heal.

Robert E. Lee opposed Confederate monuments

“I think it wiser,” the retired military leader wrote about a proposed Gettysburg memorial in 1869, “…not to keep open the sores of war but to follow the examples of those nations who endeavored to obliterate the marks of civil strife, to commit to oblivion the feelings engendered.”

And the Unite the Right hate fest....

was explicitly organized and branded as a far-right, racist, and white supremacist event by far-right racist white supremacists. This was clear for months before the march actually occurred. So by casting the rally instead as a sort of spontaneous outpouring from Confederate statue enthusiasts, Trump is rewriting history.

Jews will not replace us was their rallying cry. Why don't you point out the very fine people marching in this video if you can.

He was a great General...History proves it. What's the problem with speaking the truth?

What fucking history book have you been reading?

Grant had Lee pinned down in Richmond and Willie T came up from the south to finish Lee off.

You and stupid in the WH should read some history about the war. Sherman broke the backbone of the south in his march to the sea then came up from Atlanta through SC and NC to finish Lee off.

"He was a great General...History proves it."

Robert E Lee took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States...

Like yourself, he was a traitor.
