Actually I don’t think that is the game plan. You have to make space not take up space. And besides those landfills smell like shit. I pass one a lot when I head south from here and the summer months you can smell it miles before I get to it. Can’t keep going like this things have to change. JMO
By and large it’s plastics that China are rejecting as much is contaminated with food stuff and is not clean enough to recycle. Education of the public plays a big part here.
Much that is in landfills over many years is actually quite valuable, never mind being a hub in the local community to begin to re-educate the public especially commercial users that have developed the habit of taking waste to the landfill because it’s what they have always done. To me this could be a very good move especially if this acquisition proves good. It could be a great way for Lakeshore to scale their operation nationally as landfills are becoming more and more expensive to operate. I think the digester is an important part of the plan for expansion but as an adopter of technology perhaps there is much we don’t yet know.
