Seems they have wanted to get this off their portfolio for a while.
What better time than when good news comes out?

Versa Capital Management seeks buyer for Polartec
October 27, 2010
The firm is seeking around $200m for the century-old company, which manufactures the Polarfleece range of outdoor and active wear fleeces.

The company was founded in 1906 to manufacture military uniforms and other woollen clothing ranges, debuting Polarfleece in 1979. The material went on to be named one of the 100 most important inventions of the 20th century by Time magazine.

Versa acquired the company in 2007 after it filed for bankruptcy protection, the company’s second filing following the destruction of the company’s factory in 1995, during which time then-CEO Aaron Fauerstein continued to pay employees for months while the factory was rebuilt.

Versa, formerly known as Chrysalis Capital Partners, manages $950m and invests in assets or businesses undergoing recapitalisation, divestiture, or other transition. The firm invests in all facets of a company’s capital structure.

"Not much confidence in KT"

LOL's. This is total horse dust since there were millions and millions of shares traded with the share price headed up to a high of .14.

So, let's look at what you are saying and see why it is nonsence: NO CONFIDENCE IN KT.

First, Vietnam had enough confidence to allow us in. They are going out of their way to help us.

Second, someone (probably Kenneth Le) has given KBLB a million dollar bridge loan to fund production.

Third, Three farmers signed deals with KBLB concerning Mulberry Leaves. Other deals are in the works to provide KBLB with an endless supply of leaves.

Fourth, Polartec has reached an agreement with KBLB to make ballistic materials for the military.

Fifth, ND has tripled their investment in KBLB.

Sixth, KBLB is currently at a multi-year high.

Seven, KBLB has been sending samples out to many companies, and I expect another deal at some point with someone.

There are other reasons why your statement that not much confidence in KT is absolutely wrong, but these are enough for now.

I notice that anytime KBLB shows weakness, unsupportable statements appear. It is like a boxing match where one boxer keeps hitting the bleeding eye of the other boxer over and over again.

KBLB is the real deal. The best thing you can do, IMHO, is buy on weakness so you can take advantage of once in a life time investment we call KBLB. Load up because months from now, these prices will seem cheap. GO KBLB!

You sound as if you know that private equity people are fine and descent people. Some are and some aren't. So folks that I talk to were wondering why this company wasn't liquidated already. What do PE companies do for a living, and when might they do it? It is actually not a commentary on who Kim is, rather what they(Versa) are in business to do. Interesting you go there. Did you seek out additional things Versa has done? They make money sometimes, and sometimes they fight and lose. But it always isn't all that scary paul. What will happen?

Kim must of really ticked off people by not giving them what they want to have such "friends." :)

Very interesting article, thanks!
Remember the talks about uplisting to a greater exchange.
Maybe this is all part of the plan, and a take over party has already be found...

not sure what fire sale you are speaking of. Are you talking about the shares that he sold above the market price?
I am not really sure what that would have to do with polartec.
We have been working with polartec for 3 years. How does an investor buying shares a month ago correlate with that?

Are you trying to imply that Versa informed Kim of a sale so he sold shares knowing that he was going to announce the polartec partnership?

I am really confused.
I think if they were going to do something like that they would have done in in 2016 when we first partnered with them and polartec was facing extremely hard times.
Since then they have recovered nicely. A pretty good profit for Versa if they can get the 200M for the company.

Could you clarify the conspiracy for me? Or are we just going to leave it open ended and hope imagination will do the work?

Because they want to cash out and recognize the gains they made? Every business is bought with the intention of increasing value and then selling it someday. IMHO
